ALMS faces another rain out

Friday night, ALMS race action was cancelled at Gas City I-69 Speedway in Gas City , IN due to wet track conditions.  With no other tracks in the area running late models or modifieds, the team was forced to take another night off.

 

Saturday night, Brian traveled north to Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal , MI .  This was his first visit to the track since 2002.   Brian qualified 3rd fast and won the 4 car dash from the outside pole. Starting the feature in the 11th position, Brian managed an 8th place finish in an event that went start to finish caution free.

 

The Ruhlman racing team would like to thank Crystal Motor Speedway for the hospitality they showed us on our visit there. The track was ultra smooth and had two full racing grooves all night long.

 

Memorial Day weekend, Brian will be traveling to 4 ALMS events in as many days to drive the Lawrence Motorsports #11 late model. Friday, they will be racing at Attica Raceway Park , Saturday they will be at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon , OH , Sunday they return to the high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg , OH , and Monday they travel to the ¼ mile bullring at Fremont Speedway. The ALMS point standings remain unchanged due to rain outs since I-96 Speedway on April 29th. Brian still sits in 3rd place just 4 points behind leader Aaron Scott.
