Mother Nature interferes with Brian Ruhlman’s Weekend schedule

Clarklake, MI (04-22-05)

Brian Ruhlman had hopes of finishing better than 2nd place this weekend. He was to repeat his last weekend’s race schedule at I-96 Speedway in Ionia, Michigan on Friday night with the #49 late model and then make the Saturday trek to Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH for the modified race in the #20 car owned by Chuck Sanning. Rain and cold temperatures through out the area forced both tracks to cancel races early.

Next weekend Brian will once again be competing in the Sunoco American Late Model Series, driving the #11 Lawrence Motorsports late model, sponsored by Dick Lavy Trucking and Winner’s Meats. Friday night will find them at I-96 in Ionia and then Saturday they will travel a bit farther north to compete at Crystal Motor Speedway in Crystal, MI. Currently, Brian is 2nd in the points standing following Aaron Scott by just 2 points. Duane Chamberlain is tied for 2nd place and Rusty Schlenk in 4th.
